Now that's a tagline: "Fight the dead. Fear the living."

Based on the ominous, new photo just released by AMC (see it here at EW.com), Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) has more than just zombies to worry about in season three. The new poster features our fearless leader standing on top of an overturned prison bus aiming a gun at...who? Zombie or human?

The new season of The Walking Dead will be once again split into two parts, because AMC reeeally loves to tantalize us. The first eight episodes of the 16-episode season stars Oct. 14, with the next part kicking off in February 2013. And if any show knows how to do a midseason finale right, it's The Walking Dead.

Season three will revolve around the gang of survivors infiltrating the prison (and based on the promo, it doesn't work out too well), plus we'll get an introduction to Woodbury and the much-feared and highly-anticipated character of Governor.

"I really think we're in the zone on this one," showrunner Glen Mazzara said at Comic-Con back in July. "It's exciting, and we keep pushing each other. It's about staying raw, visceral [and for us to] bring it every week."

Bring it on, zombies! Bring. It. On.
