NBCLife as a new mom is treating Jessica Simpson very well. Just ask Simpson's Fashion Star pal Nicole Richie.
"I have seen her and she looks beautiful," Richie told us at the Macy's launch event for her new fragrance Nicole.
Richie says she's also gotten to meet Simpson's 3-month-old baby girl Maxwell. "She's very cute," the 30-year-old dished.
Richie can't yet tell whether little Maxwell looks more like her mama or dad Eric Johnson, adding, "Well, she's a newborn."
As for her own offspring, Richie says 4-year-old daughter Harlow isn't yet following in her fashionable footsteps.
"She's very girly," she said. "We don't necessarily share the same aesthetic; she's just all about being a princess and bows and that's her whole thing."
And 2-year-old son Sparrow? "Sparrow dresses just like Joel [Madden]," Richie said. "He wants to. He has a handkerchief coming off the jeans and he has cut-off shirts and he just got his first haircut so he has his first mohawk right now."
So does Richie think her and hubby Joel will have any more kids in the future?
"If I never had any more that would be fine," Richie said. "If I do, it would be a blessing. I'm just blessed that I have two healthy kids, knock on wood."
