Well, it's certainly not bikini season in the Arctic. But Sports Illustrated swimsuit model-turned-actress Brooklyn Decker steamed up the chilly north with a summer adventure in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska.
Decker visited the Marsh Fork at the Canning River, a remote spot that draws visits by fewer than 50 people a year (but surely not many of those explorers double as Victoria's Secret alumni).
"Getting outdoors has always been an important part of my life," Brooklyn said of her trip. "Going on a Sierra Club Outing to the Arctic was an enlightening experience and gave me a chance to reconnect with nature. Anyone who spends time enjoying our planet knows exactly why it's important to protect places like the Arctic."
The wife of tennis star Andy Roddick—whose birthday it is today, hurray!—spent a week on a Sierra Club Outing, camping and learning about conservation, while also partaking in some outdoor fun like hiking, whitewater rafting (on the most rugged rivers the Arctic has to offer) and saw the Northern Lights.
Oh, and she looked flawless the entire time, naturally.
