Breathless talk started circulating Wednesday that Adele and beau Simon Konecki had gotten hitched in secret after the baby-bumpin' Grammy winner was photographed wearing a gold band on her ring finger.
Fact or fabrication?
Well, the brassy chanteuse now has a clear answer for trigger-happy celeb watchers who've been a little too eager for a hush-hush wedding.
"I'm not married," the 24-year-old wrote on Twitter Thursday.
And if that didn't do the trick, she was more than happy to offer up a punch line: "Zzzzzzz."
The denial comes amid feverish insistence that the songstress did indeed tie the knot, with a purported guest even raving to the Daily Mail, "They did get married, and I was present. It was a fabulous occasion."
Uh-huh. Anything else to add there?
"Adele was dressed in a classic attire," the mystery source claimed, "and Simon looked very smart and joyous."
Riiiight. Guess Adele will have to return her imaginary gifts to those imaginary guests, then.
