Good to hear, but why even bring it up?
That would be because a woman has filed a lawsuit today in Los Angeles Superior Court against the basketball player for allegedly infecting her with sexual disease.
In her sexual battery and negligent transmission of a venereal disease suit, Kayla Goldberg describes meeting with Humphries first at a local upscale restaurant and then again later that night at a club, where she ended up going back to his hotel and the two engaged in various sexual activities.
According to court papers, Goldberg alleges that Humphries—who did not always wear a condom while having intercourse with Goldberg—also did not inform her that he was infected with herpes.
Goldberg is asking for unspecified general, specific and punitive damages and court costs.
UPDATE: Goldberg filed a revised complaint and hired new lawyers on Friday, Oct. 19. Her amended complaint did not include initial allegations of fraud, intentional infliction of emotional distress and violation of the state Health and Safety Code, but still alleges that the NBA star transmitted the sexual disease.
