Katy Perry & John Mayer Split, Enjoy Single Life at Neighboring Hollywood Hot Spots

Exclusive! Just hours after news hit that the two were kaput, the music superstars hang separately across the street from one another

Just as we were getting used to hearing about Katy Perry and John Mayer's budding romance, they go ahead and call it quits.

And they're certainly not sitting at home crying over each other.

Only a few hours after US Weekly reported that the singing lovebirds had split, Perry, 27, was at the kickoff of Hollywood nightclub Bootsy Bellows' new music showcase.

She was spotted for a little more than an hour in the private room supporting her friend, singer-songwriter Ferras, during his live performance on the piano.

"She was very into the performance and kept telling the rowdy table in the back to be quiet," an eyewitness tells us.

Meanwhile, Mayer, 34, was just footsteps away across the street at Soho House with some friends. A source tells us he appeared to be checking out some women at the bar.

Soho House is where Perry and Mayer first sparked rumors they were dating when, according to US Weekly, they made an "affectionate" appearance at the members-only club on June 19.
