The Century 16 Movie Theater in Aurora, Colo., is haunted with the tragedy that occurred on July 20 after a horrific shooting by James Holmes broke out during the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises, ultimately killing 12 people and injuring 58 others.

For that reason, the citizens are torn when it comes to figuring out what to do with the structure, so the city has decided to offer a survey as a way of finding a solution.

"Many people have asked what will happen to the theater after the shooting," city officials posted on the Aurora Facebook page, "Now is your chance to share your opinion on what should happen. Please take a few minutes to provide your thoughts at the following link. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DLJCQZ2"

The survey consists of one single statement which reads, "As Aurora moves forward after the tragedy of July 20, it is our hope that the entire community will participate and benefit from the citywide healing process. Many people have asked about the future of Aurora's Century 16 theater. We want to know your thoughts. Please take a few minutes to tell us your thoughts. These comments will be shared with Cinemark for consideration in their decision making process."

Responses can be submitted until the end of August.

What do you think the city should do with the theater? Give us your recommendation in the comments.
