Disneyland's "Flash Mountain"

You'll shriek...You'll streak...You'll get posted

Giving new meaning to the term "thrill ride," a cyberspace prankster has turned Disneyland's Splash Mountain into Flash Mountain by digitally distributing a handful of pictures of women baring their breasts on the popular log ride.

There's a camera mounted just above the attraction's trademark drop that snaps souvenir photos of plummeting riders. Occasionally, however, an uninhibited guest flashes more than a smile for the lens. According to the Magic Kingdom, such naughty photos are usually intercepted and digitally altered before they can be turned into $10 souvenir glossies.

But a mischievous Mouseketeer with access to the candid camera collected at least 13 such images and posted them on the Internet last spring. While the Mouse minions were unable to find the perpetrator, the leak seems to be plugged--no new images have surfaced recently.

So where can fans find the offending snapshots? The photos periodically pop up in an unofficial, X-rated Disney newsgroup. And one Webmaster has even serialized the "Flash Mountain Girls" on his site, putting up a new image every couple of weeks to keep visitors coming back.

A Disneyland spokesman says the company will not file charges against those posting the images because it's only a joke and no one is seeking to profit off the photos.
