The end isn't near, it's here.

Apologies for borrowing the title of the The O.C.'s series finale, Josh Schwartz, but that sentiment is truly fitting when it comes to Fringe's fifth and final season.

Not only is the beloved cult series coming to an end, but our favorite fringe team is fighting to save the planet from the Observers. In a new trailer for the final season, we get a glimpse of Peter (Joshua Jackson) and Olivia's (Anna Torv) domestic bliss pre-Observer takeover...

Though season five will take place in the Observer-ruled future we saw in season four's "Letters of Transit," the new trailer shows us the Bishops' life before the invasion. (But where's Walter?!)

In the 30-second promo, Peter, Olivia and their daughter Etta are enjoying a beautiful day at the park until the Observers decide to make their move. How chilling is that shot of all the Observers closing in on Etta while Peter and Olivia run toward her?

(P.S. Anyone else notice the ring on Peter's finger? They're married, y'all!)

Fringe's final season premieres Friday, Sept. 28, at 9 p.m. on Fox.
