Just three months after confirming that they were an item, the cute couple have split up, People magazine first reported.
"Brian and I have decided to turn our romance into an amazing friendship," McCarthy tells E! News in a statement. "I will continue to be the biggest cheerleader for him. Go, Bears!"
Indeed, from the very start the 39-year-old Playboy pinup and Chicago native was a big cheerleader for their relationship, going so far as to relocate from Los Angeles back to Chicago with her 10-year-old son, Evan, in order to be with the 34-year-old football star.
"She will not be in the city, but not far from where she grew up and has many friends and family nearby," her rep told E! News last month. "She will commute to L.A. and New York for work."
The couple began fueling talk of a romance in May after being spotted at Bill and Giuliana Rancic's RPM Italian restaurant in Chicago, and McCarthy later took Urlacher as her date to a charity benefit in the Windy City.
