With her silence concerning accusations she's been stepping out in fur, Lady Gaga is not making any friends lately in the gay community.

Just ask Alan Cumming.

The Good Wife star, who is openly bisexual, slammed Mama Monster for failing to come clean about whether she's been donning real fur coats in public—which would contradict her previously outspoken statements against animal cruelty and her vow on The Ellen DeGeneres Show not to wear such clothing.

"I'm so disappointed to learn @ladygaga wears fur! Guess she doesn't love all little monsters," Cumming tweeted People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

The 47-year-old actor was reacting to PETA's scathing open letter to Lady Gaga by Dan Matthews, the group's senior vice president, in which he asked whether the pop superstar was betraying her gay supporters, many of whom like Cumming are also die-hard animal rights activists. That after referencing photos paparazzi snapped recently showing the "Judas" singer in fox and rabbit and even wrapping herself in a wolf carcass for the movie sequel Machete Kills.

Gaga did address the controversy, sort of.

"For those press and such who are writing about whether or not my fur is actually real, please don't forget to credit the designer HERMES. Thank you! LOVE, gaga," she tweeted.

Her non-answer wasn't good enough for Cumming who fired back, "Really @ladygaga? Giving Hermès a shout out is more important than being open with your fans?"

No word whether Lady Gaga has been draping herself in real fur, though Matthews told the Huffington Post that PETA confirmed with one store that a fur coat the hitmaker purchased was indeed the real deal. Some fashion bloggers however have been quick to point out that Hermès line features the imitation kind.

Gaga has yet to comment further on the controversy.
