For Awkward''s Jenna (Ashley Rickards), that sentiment is metophorical and literal, as she and Matty (Beau Mirchoff) tend to have this whole thing with her bedroom door.
Last episode, Jake (Brett Davern) finally had the truth-bomb about his G, Jenna, and BF, Matty, dropped on him (Not cool, Sadie!) and devastated doesn't begin to cover his reaction. But now that everything is out in the open, will Matty finally make a move on Jenna? We have an exclusive sneak peek at tomorrow night's episode that may or may not induce some serious giggling from the Team Matty constituents!
"This is surreal," Jenna tells Matty as they sit on her bed. "I'm crying to you about Jake."
"I'm listening to you cry to me about Jake," Matty counters.
When Matty says that this whole situation makes them "weirdos," Jenna drops this amazing line: "Me? I'm weird. You? You're wonderful."
Because he's so wonderful, Matty steers the conversation back to Jenna and making sure she's OK, telling her Jake will come to his senses. What a guy! Too bad Jenna still wants to make this "Matty hour," telling him, "What if he could sense that I was struggling to fall in love with him because I haven't fallen out of love with you?" What's that sound? It's the sound of our jaws hitting the floor!
This scene is straight out of an '80s teen movie and we love it. Like, really, really love it.
Awkward airs Thursday at 11 p.m. on MTV.
