The smooth-jazz hitmaker has filed for divorce, nearly seven months after his mate of almost 20 years, Balynda Benson-Gorelick, filed for a legal separation.
G, whose full name is Kenneth Bruce Gorelick, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, according to court documents obtained by E! News. They have two sons together, Max and Noah.
G, who is reportedly worth about $48 million, stated in his petition that he and Benson-Gorelick's assets will be divvied up according to an existing prenuptial agreement.
At 14, Noah is the only minor child involved and G is asking for joint legal and physical custody.
The 56-year-old saxophonist is also requesting that he and his soon-to-be ex-wife be responsible for their own legal fees.
