Call it a washout.

Disappointing his growing legion of fans across the pond, Frank Ocean has announced he's pulling out of opening for Coldplay on their upcoming European fall tour as well as some high-profile festival gigs of his own.

The 24-year-old "Novacane" crooner did not provide an explanation, though he did make sure to call out the man most responsible for the cancellation: himself.

"Let me start by saying I feel like an asshole right now, but a tough decision had to be made in regard to my schedule over the next months and the casualties of that decision include my appearances at upcoming festivals in Europe and my opening slot on the European leg of the Coldplay world tour," Ocean said in a rather expletive-filled statement. "Sorry as f--k, I'll be back if you'll have me."

Per the Hollywood Reporter, the singer-songwriter cut short his performance at Norway's Oya Music Festival last Friday after only four songs due to vocal problems. He subsequently bailed on Saturday's show at Sweden's Way Out West festival.

Ocean, previously best known for penning hits for the likes of Justin Bieber and Brandy, released his debut album, Channel Orange, on July 10. But the week previous to that he made even bigger waves after coming out, making him one of the only open gay musicians in the hip-hop community.
