Celebrity Big Brother castmember Stephen Baldwin was more like a celebrity Good Samaritan on Thursday when he rushed to assist a young woman having a seizure.

While meeting with his publicist, Brad Taylor, at the Peninsula Hotel in New York, the 46-year-old actor heard a noise coming from the other side of the room, the New York Daily News reports.

"All of a sudden every head turned because there was this loud bang," Baldwin told the paper. "It was this girl, fallen on the floor."

As the young woman went into convulsions, Baldwin immediately recognized it as a symptom of epilepsy.

"It was pretty violent," said Baldwin. "I held her hand and said a few prayers. I wanted to make sure the young lady was okay and her breathing wasn't restricted."

About three minutes later, the shaking subsided, the young woman came to and a nurse subsequently arrived on the scene.

"Stephen Baldwin was a hero to a girl," Taylor said.

The identity of the young woman has not been revealed.
