Details about a new two-hour Hills special and plans for a premiere party

Get ready for an extra two hours of The Hills—even before the fourth season premieres next month.

MTV is currently putting together a two-hour special about the best on-camera moments from Lauren Conrad & Co.

"All the girls are being interviewed for it, and celebrities are going to give commentary," a source tells me.

The special is expected to air just days before the Aug. 18 premiere.

As for the launch of the new season, the source also says a party is being planned for somewhere in Malibu. No word on who may perform. Mariah Carey and Usher have done the honors in the past.
