The beloved Lost and V actress makes her Revolution debut as the mysterious Rachel (replacing Andrea Roth, who played the role in the pilot) in an extended new preview of J.J. Abrams and Supernatural creator Eric Kripke's ambitious new drama that NBC oh-so-smartly aired during the Olympics.
And if the new footage (directed by Iron Man director Jon Favreau) is anything to go by, viewers can expect a dystopian drama with a bit of an old Western flair—think militias, warlords and good ol' sword- and gunfights.
"It's going to turn off, and it will never, ever turn back on."
Going to Revolution, that sentence is all you really need to know about the show set 15 years in the future, a future where there is no electricity. (Anyone else get goosebumps during the scene where all the car lights shut off?) Still, as the end of the preview teases, it seems like there is a way to bring power back.
Starring Tracy Spiridakos, Twilight franchise-stealer Billy Burke and Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito, Revolution centers on Charlie (Spiridakos), a young woman who is on a mission to find her uncle Miles (Burke) after the local militia kills her father and kidnaps her brother.
Revolution premieres Monday, Sept. 17, at 10 p.m. on NBC.
