Katie Couric certainly has something to smile about (and we're not just talking her upcoming show Katie).

After calling it quits with her longtime boyfriend last December, the 55-year-old ABC News anchor has reportedly coupled up with a new guy, dating financier John Molner for the last few months.

A source told E! News Couric "has been traveling all over the country getting ready for her show and her daughters were away over the summer, so its really nice for her to have someone to spend time with in addition to other friends and family."

So, who exactly is the lucky man?

He's a big shot: Molner is a partner and head of mergers and acquisitions at investment bank and securities firm Brown Brothers Harriman in New York, according to the firm's website.

Like Katie, he's got smarts: The New York City native graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with Honors from Trinity College and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

He supports his lady: Molner reportedly accompanied Couric to the Ellen Hermanson Breast Cancer Benefit last week, according to the New York Post. Sources told the paper he held her hand, put his arm around her and kissed her as they made their way out of the party. Aww!

He's more seasoned than Katie's last beau: At 17 years her junior, Katie's last boyfriend, entrepreneur Brooks Perlin, was labeled the TV host's "boy toy." Molner however, is more, um, mature, at 49.

They have mutual friends: Couric and Molner were reportedly hooked up by friends, according to the Post. While the duo is still keeping quiet on whether they're actually an item, onlookers at the breast cancer benefit they attended last Saturday said they "looked good together." We can't help but to agree!
