"Both of us were slightly surprised with our grandmother's secret hobby that she had of parachuting, which went down unbelievably well," Prince Harry jested to BBC News about Queen Elizabeth II's scene-stealing appearance alongside the reigning James Bond, Daniel Craig, at the Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony last week.
The skydiving duties were, of course, left to a stuntman who had to be sure to look as prim as possible while jumping out of a helicopter, but we could listen to Harry and his big brother crack wise till the corgis come home.
"To be honest, we were kept completely in the dark about it, that's how big the secret was," said Prince William, who recalled that Harry had "got a sniff" of a rumor that their grandmum would play a role in the Danny Boyle-directed ceremony, which William praised as having "a real wow factor" overall.
"She did such a good performance that she has now been asked to star in the next Bond film," Harry said, adding, "You don't expect the queen to do something like that, [but] what she does in her spare time is her spare time."
And here we thought it would be the swimmers making the big splash in London.
Will also talked about getting to watch cousin Zara Phillips help the British equestrian team win silver this year, along with his wife, Kate Middleton, and his brother.
"We both missed her European and World Championships when she was there, we were always supporting her from the television so to actually be there when she got a medal and they've done so well as a team, and to see Team G.B. do brilliant so early on in the Olympics, I had goosebumps on the back of my neck and I got far too carried away."
The glamorous trio continued to carry on today: Will and Kate popped in at the Aquatic Centre, where Brit Becky Adlington won bronze in the 800-meter freestyle, and while Will was giving his BBC interview, his missus, a former field hockey player herself, watched the British men's team over at Riverbank Arena.
And maybe Kate deserves some type of medal herself: She also managed to fit in the heptathlon hurdles with Prime Minister David Cameron and veteran Olympian Sally Gunnell before the hockey and the swimming.
