Harry Potter's a wizard, but Christian Grey works a different kind of magic.

In fact, E.L. James' Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy has outsold J.K. Rowling's seven-book Harry Potter series on Amazon U.K., per a report on The Verge.

The first novel in the literotica series is actually dominating Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, outselling Rowling's original masterpiece by a factor of two to one. Oh, my!

But lest you think America has similarly moved on from the boy wizard to adult fiction, Fifty Shades is topping Amazon's U.S. bestseller chart in print and Kindle sales, but it's yet to break taboos records the way it has across the pond.

And while we adore both franchises as much as the next S&M-loving muggle, we're really looking forward to Fifty Shades hitting the silver screen. Although no one's officially signed up for the Red Room of Pain just yet, rumors of either Matt Bomer, Chris Hemsworth or Ian Somerhalder playing Mr. Grey continue to persist.

It's a struggle, but like Anastasia, we need to be patient. Laters, babes!
