Jesse Grant/WireImageIt looks like Sofia Vergara's supposed marriage proposal may have actually been caught on tape—by none other than her son, Manolo Gonzalez!
While there was much speculation that the Modern Family star became engaged to boyfriend Nick Loeb while recently celebrating her 40th birthday in Mexico, a source at the time told E! News that Loeb did pop the question with a ring, but Vergara didn't say yes.
Now, in a YouTube video as part of Gonzalez's YouTube series Mi Vida Con Totya, we see Vergara and several friends and family members sightseeing at the Mayan archeological ruins of Chichen Itza and eventually ascending one of the pyramids.
"One of my mom's dreams came true," Gonzalez says in the clip. "As a little girl, she always wanted to go to the top of the pyramids. Unfortunately, people are not allowed to do that anymore. But since it was her birthday, her team worked for months on end to get her special permission to go up."
As the video shows Vergara and Loeb on the pyramid, her son adds, "Once they were to the top of the pyramid, my mother's longtime boyfriend, Nick, proposed to her."
Once back down on the ground, Gonzalez asks his mom to see the ring. While she proceeds to proudly display it, she makes no mention of the proposal and/or engagement.
Hmm. Guess time will tell if Vergara and Loeb actually walk down the aisle or not. If they do, they certainly won't have to look far to find someone to capture the moment.
