Welcome to Glee season four!

Some people gain the "freshman 15" when they head to college. Rachel Berry (Lea Michele)? She gains an A-list mentor in the form of Kate Hudson. No big deal! Fans have been patiently waiting for a glimpse of Hudson on the Fox series ever since it was announced back in May that she would be joining the show; creator Ryan Murphy rewarded them for their patience today on Twitter when he posted an exclusive first look at Michele and Hudson on set.

Oh, you didn't hear Ryan Murphy joined Twitter?!

Does Glee treat tts same-sex couples differently? Chris Colfer offers his take

Yes, the Glee and American Horror Story showrunner finally caved and joined the social networking site and decided to dedicate his first two tweets to his leading lady, Michele. (Wouldn't you?)

"My very first tweet to my beloved @msleamichele," he writes. "Follow me for exclusive details on AMERICAN HORROR STORY, GLEE and THE NEW NORMAL."

And boy did he deliver on the promise of exclusive details when he posted a first look at Hudson in character as Rachel's "negative-reinforcement" practicing dance instructor at NYADA. "@msleamichele and Kate Hudson on the NYADA set," he posted along with the photo. "Kate has chandelier approval."

Hudson is currently set to stick around for at least six episodes. Sarah Jessica Parker is also set to guest star as a mentor for Kurt (Chris Colfer) in the beginning of season four.
