Those Canadians really stick together, eh?
Justin Bieber is an international superstar, but when it comes to the Olympics, he's a big supporter of his native country. And on Sunday, the Ontario-born pop star made the day of Canadian gymnast Dominique Pegg with a tweet.
He wrote: "@domiP3gg sorry im late 2 the party. want to let you know as a proud canadian Im always supporting you and proud of you. STAND UP CANADA! :)"
Adorably, the gymnast had tweeted to the Biebs before her competition, saying, "K @justinbieber I will be competing in the Olympics in a few hours now. I think its time that you say goodluck! #London2012 #TeamCanada :)"
Naturally, she was beyond thrilled he responded.
"@justinbieber OMG thank you so much for tweeting me!!" Pegg, who qualified for the event finals, wrote back. "Thank you for teaching me to never give up on my dreams! #lookatusnow! #believe!"
She even retweeted another Belieber who said, "@justinbieber can [change] lives without even noticing. One of a kind!" @domiP3gg dreams to come true… If you just #Believe and #nsn :)"
Looks to us like Justin and Dominique are both making Canada proud!
