Call it a tribute to Sam Claflin's charm in Snow White and the Huntsman.

The 26-year-old British actor is the frontrunner to play hunky, trident-wielding tribute Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, according to Variety, which reports that Lionsgate is close to making him an offer.

Bronze hair, sparkling green eyes, ridiculously good-looking... We can see that.

The studio does not comment on casting rumors and Claflin's rep had no comment—but Finnick isn't the only role that is supposedly close to being filled!

According to the trade, Oscar winner Melissa Leo is wanted for the role of Finnick's mentor, the elderly, haunted Mags, and the studio's eyeing Tony Shaloub for crafty bomb maker Beetee—pivotal characters both!

May the odds be in all of their favors to ink a deal.

A source tells E! News, meanwhile, that Leo has not been approached about being in the Hunger Games sequel—so she may just be a glimmer in a producer's eye at this point.

The fresh round of casting rumors comes just hours after news broke that Amanda Plummer will play the intuitive, clock-deciphering Wiress.

Catching Fire won't be in theaters till Nov. 22, 2013, but at least watching the cast come together is its own form of entertainment.

What do you think of Sam Claflin as Finnick? How about Tony Shalhoub and Melissa Leo joining the cast? Sound off in the comments!
