The Marvel universe is about to really blow up.

In addition to announcing the official names of the Thor and Captain America sequels—Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier—Marvel announced two new films in the works during what was ostensibly a panel devoted to Iron Man 3 tonight at Comic-Con.

Guess again! The capacity crowd was even treated to footage from one of the new (yet familiar to comics readers) characters already!

First up, the Disney-owned studio announced that Guardians of the Galaxy—featuring Rocket Raccoon, Star-Lord, Draxx the Destroyer, Groot and Gamora—is on tap for Aug. 1, 2014.

Very cool. Then, despite his and pal Simon Pegg's recent tweets that were meant to mislead people into thinking he was in London, Edgar Wright showed up.

And he brought Ant-Man with him!

"I'm taking the Terrence Malick approach when it come to superheroes," he jested, referring to the lengthy period of time he's been supposedly working on the script and name-checking a director who takes a notoriously long time between films.

"I did shoot a test, this is true," the plucky Brit confessed. "You guys wouldn't want to see the unfinished test, would you?"

Oh, come now.

The footage screened lasted for about 30 seconds and featured a fully costumed Ant-Man (an actor reveal on top of everything else might have made Hall H combust) going from big to small, big to small, big to small while simultaneously battling two apparently nefarious security guards.

"Ant-Man will kick your ass, one inch at a time," Wright cracked.
