Robert Downey Jr. played hero to dozens of children and countless thrilled spectators today when he made a surprise appearance at the Iron Man Kids' Costume Contest today at Comic-Con.
The Iron Man 3 star, who showed up at the Marvel booth ahead of his scheduled lineup of press and his film's panel, didn't just show up and dash off, either—he posed for pictures with a bunch of tiny Iron Man clones!

Superhuman, no. But still pretty darn awesome.
