Now here is some news that'll have fans howling at the moon. Sorry, that pun was terrible. Work with us, here.
During the Teen Wolf panel at Comic-Con on Thursday, it was announced that MTV had picked up the supernatural hit for a third season! And that's not even the best part!
The best part is that instead of the usual 12-episode order that Teen Wolf had been working with so far, they'll be getting a big, fat 24-episode order! Hooray for hairy high school boys and the world in which they live!
"Teen Wolf represents a terrific foray into the scripted world for the millennial MTV audience, and marks tremendous success in the continued diversification of our schedule," David Janollari, Head of MTV Programming says in a statement. "Renewing the show for a third season celebrates the creative vision of Executive Producer Jeff Davis and the remarkable talent of the cast who bring this bona fide fan favorite to life."
The renewal is unprecedented for the network, as this is the first time it has renewed a primetime scripted series for a third season, and Teen Wolf now holds the largest scripted episode order to date for MTV.
Teen Wolf, which stars Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed and Dylan O'Brien, is currently rolling out its second season on Monday nights on MTV. You can even get a sneak peek at next week's episode over at MTV.com!
