Lane Garrison's prison jail break might be short-lived.

A month after getting sprung from jail, the 32-year-old actor was ordered to stand trial in Beverly Hills on Sept. 11 for an altercation with his ex-girlfriend.

Garrison is charged with a misdemeanor count of battery for allegedly hitting Ashley Mattingly in the face in April. Following the incident, he remained in custody because of a parole hold for his 2007 vehicular manslaughter conviction. (The Prison Break star was under the influence when, in December 2006, he killed a 17-year-old boy and injured two 15-year-old girls.) At the end of June, he posted $50,000 bail and was released from jail.

If convicted of battery, the actor could spend up to a year in jail fined $2,000. However, if a jury also finds he violated his parole, he could face an even harsher penalty.
