The Good Wife's Julianna Margulies Sued by Former Managers

Emmy winner sued by former management company, which claims she owes part of her earnings from The Good Wife

Too bad Julianna Margulies doesn't really have a whole law firm at her disposal.

The Emmy winner was sued today by her former managers, who claim that they helped hook her up with her starring role on The Good Wife, as well as a cosmetics endorsement deal, and now she has stopped paying them their fair share of her earnings.

So, just how much does plaintiff D/F Management want from the actress?

The company is demanding $420,000 in unpaid commission from Margulies—who, the lawsuit states, hired D/F in 2009 to help her "re-emerge as a prominent leading actress" after her previous series, Canterbury's Law, was canceled after only six episodes.

The Good Wife premiered in 2009, and the following year, Margulies was signed by L'Oréal Paris as a spokeswoman; D/F received a 10 percent commission from each, according to the lawsuit.

Per the complaint, Margulies fired her representation at D/F Management in 2011 and "wrongly and inexplicably" stopped paying them the 10 percent that they claim they're still contractually entitled to.

D/F, which is alleging breach of oral contract, wants $420,000, plus a judge's order to ensure that Margulies keeps paying 10 percent of her Good Wife and L'Oréal earnings so long as she's getting paid.

Margulies' rep has not yet responded to a request for comment.
