Tom Cruise is ready to lose himself in Oblivion.

Hours after his lawyer confirmed that he and soon-to-be ex-wife Katie Holmes had reached a settlement agreement, the actor landed in Mammoth, Calif., today to return to work on his latest film.

Cruise had been shooting Oblivion in Iceland when word got out just 11 days ago that Holmes had filed for divorce.

A rep for the production told E! News today that they would be shooting in the mountainous resort town this week with an eye on calling it a wrap after a few days.

And while Cruise is known for his intense commitment on set, there's now a better chance that he can really give his performance 100 percent.

"Tom is really pleased we got there, and so am I," attorney Bert Fields told E! News earlier today regarding the actor's under-wraps divorce settlement, which in addition to money matters presumably includes his and Holmes' custody arrangement with daughter Suri.

Cruise and Holmes had said in a joint statement that they were "committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri's best interests."

Holmes, meanwhile, remains in New York with their 6-year-old: The mommy-daughter duo was seen yesterday hitting up the Whole Foods near their Chelsea apartment.
