Katie Holmes didn't waste any time securing new digs for her and daughter Suri Cruise while filing for divorce from Tom Cruise after five years of marriage.

And while she's not inviting the media in for tea just yet, E! News has taken an exclusive video tour of a unit in Holmes' new building in Manhattan's artsy Chelsea neighborhood—and we've got plenty of details about the actress's new address for you!

Starting with how much she's probably paying...

A source told E! News that Holmes has leased a two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath apartment in the Chelsea Mercantile for about $12,500.

Meanwhile, neighbor Christopher Hyland, whose own 4,000-square-foot pad on another floor is on the market for $23 million, exclusively tells E! News that it's "a joy" to have Holmes in the building.

"She is a jewel and class act," Hyland says of the 33-year-old actress. "This building knows celebrities from the day it has been opened...The list is long. It is like Hollywood in the east, the Dakota of Chelsea," he added, name-checking John Lennon's former (and Yoko Ono's current) home on Central Park West. (Fun fact: The exterior of the Dakota was featured prominently in Cruise's Vanilla Sky.)

And the building is well-equipped to handle the famous faces, Hyland says, noting the "great staff and security," as well as amenities like in-house private laundry, cleaning and concierge services; a gym; a large rooftop deck; and a playroom for the building's smaller tenants.

Though Suri may be more interested in closet space...

And, judging by Hyland's 12-room spread, there's plenty!

The publisher of Hyland, a magazine for iPad focusing on architecture, design, travel and other creative pursuits, pointed out numerous little extras that separate the Mercantile from ordinary apartments on a private tour of his place today.

From the double drawing room to the "King's Throne" bathroom, not a corner of Hyland's home was left untouched by artistic hands.

Holmes may not have had a chance to deck her new apartment out to a tee yet, but it appears that she has a stunning foundation upon which to build!
