Willow Smith is one versatile little lady!
Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's 11-year-old daughter made her mark on the music scene with her infectious hit "Whip My Hair," but the feisty preteen can bust out a ballad, too. During Sunday night's BET Awards, Willow debuted her new video for "I Am Me," a soulful song showcasing her impressive pipes.
In the heartfelt track, Willow sings about "trying to find who I really am," and also addresses the criticism for her eclectic fashion choices. "People don't like the way I dress, or where I'm at. I dye my hair and it's not just vanity."
"Your validation is just not that important to me," she sings. (Bam, haters! Schooled by an 11-year-old.)
"I am me," she sings. "I am free. That's all I can be."
"You have to be yourself. Be real," she adds. "Be honest. 'Cause ain't nobody got time for that. They really don't."
Sing it, girl!
