Just when we thought it would be a quiet week after the standard MTV Movie Awards antics, pop-pop-pop went the celebs, starting with a popping of the question...

ENGAGEMENT IN THE USA: Miley Cyrus, all of 19, accepted the proposal of one Hunger Games hottie Liam Hemsworth. We can't even begin to guess what the future holds for the young couple, but you can bet media outlets will be battling one another to the death to secure the exclusive rights to wedding pics. (And it's great to hear that Kelly Preston is happy about something these days.)

HIGHWAY TO HELL: Lindsay Lohan was on her way to the Liz & Dick set, hoping to have a more secure day, when her Porsche collided with a big truck. She was hurt enough to need a trip to the hospital, but she was back in wardrobe by the end of the day. Now this is a girl that needs, er, wants to work!

STEALING BEAUTY: Can not a year go by without pageantry being marred by pomp? Miss Pennsylvania USA Sheena Monnin resigned her post, claiming that this year's Miss USA contest was rigged (but privately telling organizers she was appalled by inclusion of transgender contestants), and unsurprisingly ended up getting sued by Miss Universe honcho Donald Trump. Our own Giuliana Rancic, who's hosted the Miss USA pageant for two straight years, said it was impossible—and the supposed eyewitness-to-the-rigging, Miss Florida Karina Brez, says she doesn't know what Monnin is talking about!

MAD-GOOD LOVE: Expectant parents Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman tied the knot in front of pals like Cameron Diaz and Jimmy Fallon, and the bride looked beautiful in Chanel.

HEAD CASE: Sheryl Crow good-naturedly revealed that she was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor—last November!

IMMORTAL BELOVED: The Twilight Saga proved once again formidable at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards, with Breaking Dawn: Part 1 toppling both the final Harry Potter flick and The Hunger Games to be named Best Movie. At least, we heard that happened. We were pretty useless after watching Johnny Depp play with the Black Keys.

AMERICA'S GOT NERVE: Tim Poe, a perfectly good singer, muffed up his shot at America's Got Talent glory by exaggerating his military injuries. He does realize now that having served his country for 10 years as a National Guardsman would have been good enough of a story on its own, right?!

WEDDING BONGOS: Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves are getting married any minute now in Texas!...Tony Danza and Liza Minnelli, on the other hand, are never getting married...Bachelor Pad-made couple Blake Julian and Holly Durst tied the knot.

TWILIGHT OF THEIR FIGHT: Adele and Robert Pattinson were feuding? Who knew?! And just what sort of trouble did Rob and Kristen Stewart get into in their early Twilight days?
