Preston played Cyrus' mom in the The Last Song and told E! News she's "so happy" for the duo, who met in 2009 on the set of the romantic movie. "Miley's like a second daughter and there's no one more perfect for her! I love Liam!"
Cyrus' real-life mom, Tish, is also elated by her daughter's happy news. "Wow! All of the LOVE pouring out for Miley and Liam is incredible!" she tweeted Wednesday. "So happy for my precious baby girl and the love of her life!
The former Hannah Montana star's dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, also took to Twitter to express his excitement. All I ever hoped for as a Daddy was to see my kids reach their dreams.," he wrote. "To find happiness...peace of mind ...and someday know... true love."
