Lady Gaga Is Queen of Twitter! Mother Monster Hits 25 Million Followers

Pop star is first user to hit this milestone; she has more followers than Justin Bieber, Britney Spears or Barack Obama

Justin Bieber's Beliebers have a ways to go if they want to catch up to Lady Gaga's Little Monsters.

The 26-year-old pop star reached a major social networking milestone late Wednesday night: 25 million followers on Twitter!

"#25milliontweetymonsters wow! I'm officially feeling like the luckiest girl in the world today," she tweeted. "Last sold out show in Singapore in 2 hrs!"

Bieber, 18, is not far behind Gaga. The "Believe" singer has 22.5 million followers, while a whopping 20.4 million follow Katy Perry.

Rihanna has around 19.5 million devotees on the social networking site, Britney Spears around 17.2 million. Shakira can claim 16.2 million followers, which is more than President Barack Obama, who has just over 16 million.

Of course, E! star Kim Kardashian has a major Twitter presence: The brunette beauty has 14.8 million followers on the site.
