Robin Gibb Funeral Set for Next Week—Will There Be a Public Memorial?

Private service for close family and friends of the Bee Gees singer will be held in the U.K. on June 8

Close family and friends will have a chance to say goodbye one last time to Robin Gibb.

The funeral for the Bee Gees singer, who passed away on May 20 at the age of 62, is scheduled to take place in the U.K. on June 8, Gibb's rep tells E! News.

The service will be private, and the family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Rebecca House and Wish Upon a Dream, two children's charities on the Isle of Man that were close to Gibb's heart.

While a public memorial service will occur sometime later this year, Gibb's rep says "full details will be announced in due course."
