It might just be time for a "Leave Britney Alone" reference.

In the face of reports that new judge Britney Spears stomped off the set of the X Factor, several sources (including Brit herself) have come forward to declare that it just plain didn't happen.

And it looks like her fellow judges are the ones slamming the final nails into this rumor's coffin.

In an interview for the show's website, judges Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato were asked if Spears had stormed off the set.

"No, that was Demi," Cowell quipped.

Lovato rolled with it: "I was like, you know, tired of Simon, so 'I had to just, like, go,'" she said, switching into an English accent for that last bit.

The accent didn't get a good review from Cowell, though. "I'm not Australian," he responded.

"Whatever," she shot back, jokingly.

After getting all the banter out of the way, Cowell addressed the question at hand: "There was no walking off," he declared. "We have breaks every 5 or 6 songs. You can go have a cigarette, you can go to the loo. So as soon as anyone left their chairs, it was reported...that someone had left the show—and they hadn't!"

And if that won't put this thing to rest, we don't know what will.
