Happy Anniversary Jay Leno!

It's been twenty years since Johnny Carson handed the show over to the stand-up comedian, and Leno's stint on the Tonight Show is still going strong (in spite of a couple of past hiccups).

But, given that his tenure on the NBC late-night talk show hasn't always been smooth sailing (lest we not forget the whole Conan O'Brien shake-up), Leno made sure to get in a few jokes to kick off his two decades as host.

"Today is our anniversary," the 62-year-old Leno said in his opening monologue. "Twenty years ago today, we did our very first show. In that time we've seen a lot of stars come and go from the program…including me!"

Jack Black, the Meatball Shop Guys, and Colin Powell hit the show for the big commemoration, and Beirut performed as well.

Congrats!
