Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis: "Trying to Work It Out"

Source tells E! News the duo is "trying to work it out" and the actor is spending all his time off with the singer and their two children

Johnny Depp has always been pretty private when it comes to his personal life.

So it was no surprise that he was mum earlier this year over rampant reports that he and longtime girlfriend Vanessa Paradis had split after 14 years together. Now, weeks after Depp was linked to his Rum Diary costar Amber Heard, comes word from a well-placed source that the 44-year-old star is indeed "trying to work it out" with Paradis, 39.

"For the first time in a long time, he is talking about her," the source tells E! News. "They both want to make it work."

Depp has been shooting The Lone Ranger  in New Mexico and returning to L.A. most weekends to be with Paradis and the two children they share: Lily-Rose, 12, and Jack, 10.

A source tells us Depp has been "very calm and focused" while filming his role as sidekick Tonto.

Per usual, neither Depp nor Paradis would comment about their relationship.
