Bristol Palin never ceases to surprise.
You have to admit, after yesterday's dig at President Barack Obama's endorsement of same-sex marriage, you wouldn't expect this to be her next move.
The 21-year-old declared herself "on Team Hillary" today—as in Obama's secretary of state, Hillary Clinton.
So, what received Bristol's support?
In her latest blog post, Bristol objects to an apparent to-do kicked up over a photo of Clinton, posted by the Drudge Report, that showed her wearing lipstick and what appeared to be no foundation, under the headline "Au Naturel."
"Isn't it crazy how a little decision like, 'should I wear my foundation today?' ended up getting so much national attention?" Bristol wrote. "I'm not a Democrat or an important leader, but it seems a little overdone."
Noting how "not fun" it was to be the "brunt of jokes, speculation, and criticism" when she gained a little weight during her time on Dancing With the Stars, Bristol commented that denigrating the appearance of a "mature political leader" like Clinton "spreads the lie that the value of women resides in their appearance."
"As women, we should resist the urge to laugh at our sisters, both Democrats and Republicans alike," she concluded. "Plus, Hillary looks good! I think we should give her credit for not having a make up artist following her around and for being comfortable in her own skin."
Call us crazy, but it sounds kinda like Bristol is saying we should show equal respect to others, independent of one's political beliefs.
