Travis Barker is dealing with some seriously bum pipes.

Reuniting rockers Blink-182 have been forced to cancel several dates on their North American tour after the drummer had to undergo an emergency tonsillectomy, the band has announced on its website.

"Blink-182's drummer, Travis Barker, required an urgent tonsillectomy with a recovery period expected to extend beyond the scheduled tour dates," the group said in a statement. "The band apologizes for any inconvenience as a result of these cancellations and thanks their fans for their ongoing support."

All of the band's May performances, which were to have stretched across the East Coast, have been scrapped, although two shows slated for Thackerville, Okla., are being rescheduled for September.

The band was also scheduled to play at the Bamboozle Festival in Asbury Park, N.J., on May 19, but will be pulling out of that as well. Refunds are being offered for all canceled shows except Bamboozle.

This isn't the first time that Blink-182 has rallied together in times of crisis: The group, which went on hiatus in 2005, reunited offstage almost four years ago after Barker narrowly survived a horrific plane crash that killed four passengers.
