Did we just witness the blossoming of a bromance between Howard Stern and Matt Lauer on Thursday's Today?

During an appearance on the NBC morning program, the new America's Got Talent judge didn't hesitate to give the host a little lovin'.

"I'm honored to be on the Today show. I never get to be on the Today show," Stern said toward the end of their on-air conversation. "Matt and I are personal friends. We sit at my house, we drink wine and we evaluate the show. We're in competition with Good Morning America. We have to win."

And then, before Lauer knew what hit him, the self-proclaimed King of All Media stood up, made his way over to Lauer, leaped into his lap and began serving up some smooches.

"Come here, you dog, you. C'mon, baby," Stern playfully said.

The affectionate moment came soon after Stern and Lauer discussed some of the outcry surrounding the shock jock's involvement with the competition series, namely from the Parents Television Council, which has launched a campaign calling on sponsors of America's Got Talent to pull their advertising because Stern is a judge.

"I'm not going on the show to disrupt the beauty of America's Got Talent, because I love the show," assured Stern.

As for groups like the PTC, he joked: "NBC should pay them millions of dollars. The more they keep issuing the statements, it makes me seem more interesting and controversial."
