If you ever wanted to see Kellan Lutz in a loincloth, you're in luck.
While it has just been announced that the hunky Twilight highlight has landed the title role in Tarzan, an updated version of the classic Edgar Rice Burroughs tale, we won't exactly be seeing the actor in the flesh.
It turns out the film will be a performance-capture 3-D production, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Oh, well. We'll take what we can get, right?
Playing Jane opposite Lutz's Tarzan is Resident Evil actress Spencer Locke.
Director Reinhard Klooss has been tapped to helm the modernized movie. Per the synopsis, "Tarzan's parents, billionaire adventurers, are now killed in an airplane crash rather than being marooned with their child. And the movie's villain is the CEO of Greystoke Energies, a man who took over the company from Tarzan's deceased parents. Jane is the daughter of an African guide...who eventually works with Tarzan to defeat the mercenary army of Greystoke Energies."
Lutz will soon be seen in the final installment of the Twilight franchise, Breaking Dawn Part 2, in November.
