Ya gotta love Joss Whedon.

Only he can get away with saying that making The Avengers was easy and not sound like a total Hollywood egomaniac.

Just ask him about the hardest part of creating the superhero blockbuster…

"The hardest part was being away from my family," Whedon says.

Aww.

"The rest," he said, "was very easy. I had a great team with me."

Guess that means Whedon's already working on the sequel, right?

"I'm not," he said. "I mean, as always the brain has places where I think [a second film] might go, but I'm just trying to live through the first one."

We're thinking Whedon could push for a certain X Men mutant in an Avengers followup.

When asked who is favorite superhero was growing up, Whedon said. "I had several, but I always had to give it up for Kitty Pryde."

Yes, we know Avengers is a Disney property and X Men is Fox but if anyone could get the two studios to allow a superhero mash-up, it's definitely Whedon.

Now we want to hear from you. Do you wanna see X Men characters in the next Avengers flick? Sound off below.
