If there's anyone who knows about the ups and downs of being on The Real Housewives of New York City, it's series alum Kelly Bensimon.

As you probably know by now, Bensimon is one of the four ladies who were booted from the show.

And she's already got a big piece of advice for the new gals...

"Don't take it seriously because it's not," Bensimon says. "Raising your family and being a good mother and being a good friend, that should be taken seriously."

Bensimon, Jill Zarin, Alex McCord and Cindy Barshop have been replaced by Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson and Aviva Drescher.

"It's so funny. I was at this party, and one woman comes up to me," Bensimon said. "She's like, 'I'm a Housewife.' And I'm thinking to myself, 'OK, but I'm not a wife.' And she's like, 'No, no, no. I'm on Housewives, I'm on the Real Housewives.' I'm like, 'Oh my god, hi.' And she was like, 'What am I going to do with my newfound fame?'"

Bensimon declined to reveal which newbie it was, but laughed, "I thought to myself, Andy Cohen is the most brilliant man on the planet."

Housewives aside, the 44-year-old mother of two says more reality television could be in her future. She's currently pitching ideas for a show based on her just-released self-help book, I Can Make You Hot!

She also said she'd love to have another kid.

"I took my 13-year-old [Sea] to Haiti and we walking around with all these beautiful kids in these villages," she said. "She was like, 'Mommy, you need to have another baby.' And I was like, 'Well, we can't just have another baby. We need to find a man who's a role model for you and Teddy and who's someone that I love and want to have a baby and share my family with."

The Bachelorette, anyone?
