Less than a week after his passing, Dick Clark's death certificate has been released by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Heath.
The document sadly confirms what was already known—that the iconic TV host and producer did indeed die from a massive heart attack, or medically speaking, acute myocardial infarction. He was 82.
It was also reported at the time of Clark's death that he had undergone an outpatient procedure the day before he died. According to the certificate, the operation performed was a transurethral resection of the prostate to treat a benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Last Friday, a rep for Clark told E! News that the American Bandstand host was cremated, but no other memorial plans had been finalized.
