As we already know, Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli are divorcing after 11 years of marriage.

Although we're sure this is not an easy time for the celeb couple, the former 90210 star shares on Ellen (airing today) that she hopes her experience will help other women who are going through a similar situation find strength.

"You've been very open and honest talking about the divorce and your relationship. Do you feel like it's helping to talk about it? How do you feel about it?" Ellen DeGeneres asked the TV star.

"It's not something I'm dying to talk about, but it's something that's going on in my life," Garth responded. "I'm not ashamed to talk about it. I think by being open and honest with what I'm going through maybe it helps somebody else. I know, I've heard from a lot of people that it helps them, maybe with what they're going through. I'm not afraid to talk about it."

She continues, "I mean we're still a family of some kind, and we're still so committed for being there for our girls. That's the most important thing for us. I think at first, I wasn't sure how I was going to make it through, but I really learned that I am so much stronger than I thought I was."
