Just say yes to the dress ring!
Mere days after Angelina Jolie debuted the dazzling tablet-shaped engagement ring that fiancé Brad Pitt (aw, that has a really nice, um, ring to it, no?) helped create, the knockoffs have already hit the market.
So are the copycats dead ringers for the 36-year-old actress' Robert Procop-designed finger candy? Plus, who's making them, where can you get one, and will it set you back an estimated $500,000, too?
High-end jeweler Jacob & Co. offers up its own version of Angelina's new accessory. Though the 18-karat white gold ring with baguette-cut diamonds and emerald-cut center stone isn't a knockoff per se—it was designed and available for sale before the proposal—it does look strikingly similar to the Mr. & Mrs. Smith star's ring.
And the price tag for this gorgeous rock is also close (too close, if you ask us) to what Angie's cost: $338,000. Ouch!
A much easier-on-the-pocketbook replica just popped up this morning: Gemvara's Evelyn rock crystal and sterling silver ring, featuring an emerald-cut center stone flanked by emerald-cut side stones starts at $1,200.
"Reminiscent of Angelina Jolie's engagement ring, this piece possesses a coveted elegance," the site gushes.
