Ted Nugent can't resist shooting his mouth off—especially when it comes to his feelings about Barack Obama and his administration.

Appearing on conservative Dana Loesch's radio show on Tuesday, the rocker vehemently defended controversial comments he made at last weekend's National Rifle Association convention.

"I'm a black Jew at a Nazi-Klan rally," Nugent told Loesch. "And there are some power-abusing, corrupt monsters in our federal government that despise me because I have the audacity to speak the truth."

The "Cat Scratch Fever" singer caused a major stir when he told convention attendees that  "if Barack Obama becomes the president in November, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year."

The remarks prompted condemnation from Democrats who called on Nugent to apologize and presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney to distance himself from the musician. It also triggered an investigation by the Secret Service due to its potentially implied threat against the commander in chief.

"We are aware of the incident, and we are conducting appropriate follow-up," a Secret Service spokesman said.

But the 63-year-old Nugent later denied suggestions his speech implied a call to violence.

"I have never in my life threatened anyone's life. I'm incapable of threatening anyone's life. Because I'm about positive change, my entire speech, all my articles," he added.

The self-proclaimed truth teller and protector of Second Amendment rights refused to back off on the accusations he made previously.

"I spoke at the NRA and will stand by my speech. It's 100 percent positive. It's about we the people taking back our American dream from the corrupt monsters in the federal government under this administration, the communist czars he has appointed," he said.

Nugent, who's endorsed Romney for president, also lashed out at Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chairwoman for the Democratic National Committee, who launched a web video and a petition calling on his candidate to denounce him (for his part, Romney has so far stayed mum on the subject).

"Wasserman Schultz is such a brain-dead, soulless idiot," complained Nugent. "I could not be more proud that this soulless, heartless idiot feebly attempts to find fault with Ted Nugent, because I am on the right track and she just encourages me to stand stronger."

The provocateur also not so kindly labeled Schultz and House minority leader Nancy Pelosi "varmints."

Stay classy, Ted.
