So long, Evan Rachel Wood. Marilyn Manson has moved on to darker pastures. Or has he?

Tabloid reports claimed the shock rocker got hitched to Seraphim Ward, an actress and self-described "independent occult film maker" he only just started dating a little more than five weeks ago.

But is it true?

"Marilyn Manson is not engaged to Seraphim Ward. He has never met her," Manson's publicist tells E! News.

Life & Style first broke news that the Antichrist Superstar popped the question last Thursday night after giving the 27-year-old thesp a diamond ring that once belonged to his grandmother.

When later asked by E! News whether indeed that was specifically the case and she was engaged to Manson, Ward's manager, Jonathan Shelton, issued a sort of confirmation, though never mentioning the musician by name.

"Seraphim has recently made a life commitment to her partner and couldn't be happier!" Shelton told E! News.

But Manson's rep added that there was "no factual basis or confirmation" to the report.

Shelton then subsequently issued a denial, stating "Seraphim is not engaged to Marilyn, she is happily engaged to Pogo, who created Marilyn Manson."

Pogo, better known by his stage name Madonna Wayne Gacy, is Manson's former keyboardist, and the two ended up filing dueling lawsuits in 2007 over band revenue until reaching a settlement two years later.

The 43-year-old Manson, real name Brian Warner, was previously married to burlesque star Dita Von Teese. But that (un)holy union ended in divorce in 2007 after a year. He subsequently hooked up with the then-19-year-old Wood, with whom he had an on-again, off-again relationship over the next several years.

Manson, who last week performed with Johnny Depp at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards, is getting ready to drop his latest album, Born Villain, at the end of the month.
